We’ve all experienced the tranquility of foliage and greenery in nature as we walk through a park within a city or take a long hike through a dense forest trail. As the soft colors from nature on land can provide a sense of calm and relaxation, those same feelings can become embodied within a freshwater system.
You can experience an underwater forest through a live planted aquarium dancing with small schools of various fish, or a minimalist hardscape with unique driftwood and smooth stones providing a balanced ecosystem for African cichlids, or even the best of both worlds – where land meets water with a paludarium system. The unique options are endless.

LET’S DIVE INTO THIS SYSTEM
WHEN LOOKING TO MAKE A STATEMENT IN A SPACE WITH AN AQUARIUM, IT CAN BE COMMON FOR FRESHWATER SYSTEMS TO GET OVERLOOKED BY THE MORE VIBRANT OR FLASHY SALTWATER OR REEF SYSTEMS. DON’T BE FOOLED. THE VISUALS OF A FRESHWATER AQUARIUM CAN RIVAL OR SURPASS THEIR MORE ELABORATE COUNTERPARTS.

Design
HERE COMES THE SUN. When designing any space, lighting can make a significant impact on the overall look and feel. The same principles apply to an aquascape, going beyond by achieving a balance between ecosystem requirements and aesthetic desires.

Design
PUSH THE ENVELOPE, THEN TEAR IT UP, AND REDESIGN IT. Never stop learning and creating. Seen in each design created by our company, no two systems are the same. By applying fundamental system requirements as the foundation, it allows for the ability to think outside the box (no pun intended) on what can be achieved elsewhere in the design.
Install
PRECISION MEETS ART. When working through our process, the delivery and placement of the display is a critical step. While we not only want to make sure the aquarium is correctly installed, this step also allows us to begin to see how the aquarium complements the space and gives further insight on aquascaping direction.

Install
ROCKIN’ EACH INSTALL. As the aquascape comes together within a display, each placement of rockwork becomes a calculated move within the overall look. Not only is each structure a crucial point to the desired aesthetic being achieved, it’s also there to quite literally become the foundation for a favorite coral or maybe an anemone your designer clownfish call home.

Maintain
MAINTAINING BEAUTY. Each ecosystem has different types of care and requirements. Freshwater systems can be more cost-effective and require less service frequency compared to saltwater or reef systems. However, just like cleaning a home or maintaining a lawn, the more frequent, the better a system will look through visits.

Maintain
KEEPERS OF THE BIZARRE. The unique and otherworldly underwater escape being offered by amazingly colored corals won’t thrive all on their own, unfortunately. There are a large number of variables involved in each reef system that require some very calculated maintenance steps to achieve the highest levels of success. Through a comprehensive maintenance program all you’re left to do is sit back and enjoy the show.
